Tapi kalau phone panas walaupun idle, panas + bateri cepat habis, atau bateri kembung, itu tanda hardware (biasanya bateri). Waktu tu, ia perlu diperiksa.
Most phone heating is NORMAL, while gaming, charging, using GPS, or under the sun. Take it out of its case, stop using it for a bit, avoid direct sunlight, and it cools on its own. But if the phone gets hot even when idle, hot with fast battery drain, or the battery is swollen, that’s a hardware sign (usually the battery). That’s when it needs checking.

The chip inside genuinely produces heat when working hard, and Malaysia’s already-hot weather adds to it. This article shows the common causes you can fix yourself in 5 minutes, and when the heat is actually a signal that the battery or board has a problem.

Sebelum fikir rosak, kebanyakan phone panas datang dari cara guna dan persekitaran, semua ni normal dan sejuk sendiri:
Before assuming it’s broken, most phone heat comes from how it’s used and the environment, all of these are normal and cool down on their own:
“Normal” causes you needn’t worry about:
• Main game berat / video call lama, cip (processor) kerja kuat, keluar haba.
• Charge sambil main, bateri masuk kuasa + cip kerja serentak = dua sumber haba.
• Bawah matahari / dalam kereta, dashboard kereta boleh cecah 60°C, phone cepat panas.
• Signal lemah, phone kuatkan kuasa cari tower, jadi panas (biasa masa travel / kawasan blindspot).
• Update / muat turun besar, selepas update iOS/Android, phone “reindex” di background, hangat sekejap.
• Sarung (case) tebal, memerangkap haba, susah keluar.
• Heavy gaming / long video calls, the processor works hard and produces heat.
• Charging while using it, the battery draws power while the chip runs = two heat sources at once.
• Under the sun / inside a car, a car dashboard can hit 60°C and heats the phone fast.
• Weak signal, the phone boosts power to find a tower and gets hot (common while travelling / in dead zones).
• Updates / large downloads, after an iOS/Android update, the phone re-indexes in the background and warms up briefly.
• Thick case, it traps heat and stops it escaping.

How to cool your phone down quickly
Ikut langkah ni ikut turutan, biasanya phone sejuk dalam beberapa minit:
Follow these in order, the phone usually cools within a few minutes:
- Keluarkan dari sarung. Buang case sekejap supaya haba boleh keluar. Ini paling cepat beri kesan.Take it out of the case. Remove the case for a moment so heat can escape. This gives the fastest relief.
- Berhenti guna & tutup app berat. Tutup game, kamera, atau app navigasi. Tutup app di background yang masih berjalan.Stop using it & close heavy apps. Close games, the camera, or navigation apps. Close background apps still running.
- Alih ke tempat teduh & berangin. Jauhkan dari matahari terus dan dashboard kereta. Letak atas permukaan sejuk (bukan atas sofa/bantal).Move to shade with airflow. Keep it away from direct sun and the car dashboard. Rest it on a cool surface (not a sofa/pillow).
- Berhenti charge sementara panas. Kalau tengah charge, cabut dulu. Jangan charge sambil main game.Stop charging while it’s hot. If it’s charging, unplug for now. Don’t charge while gaming.
- Kurangkan brightness / Airplane mode sekejap. Kalau signal lemah, hidupkan Airplane mode 1-2 minit supaya phone berhenti “mencari” tower.Lower brightness / Airplane mode briefly. If the signal is weak, turn on Airplane mode for 1-2 minutes so the phone stops “hunting” for a tower.
- Restart phone. Kalau masih hangat selepas reda, restart untuk tutup proses tersangkut di background.Restart the phone. If it’s still warm after it settles, restart to clear stuck background processes.
⚠️ DON’T do this
Jangan masuk phone dalam peti sejuk atau freezer. Sejuk mengejut buat wap air terkumpul (kondensasi) dalam phone, boleh rosakkan board lebih teruk daripada haba. Biar sejuk secara semula jadi sahaja.
Don’t put the phone in the fridge or freezer. A sudden chill causes moisture to condense inside the phone, it can damage the board worse than the heat. Let it cool naturally instead.

Kalau phone panas walaupun anda tak buat apa-apa berat, punca biasanya bukan cara guna, tapi part dalam. Ini tanda yang patut diperiksa:
If the phone gets hot even when you’re not doing anything heavy, the cause usually isn’t usage, it’s an internal part. These are the signs worth checking:
Hardware signs:
• Panas walaupun idle, phone hangat dalam poket tanpa guna apa-apa.
• Panas + bateri cepat habis, kombinasi klasik bateri dah degrade; bateri lemah kerja lebih kuat & keluar haba.
• Panas hanya di satu bahagian, kawasan atas (kamera/board) atau bawah (port charge) sangat panas berbanding seluruh phone.
• Panas kuat masa charge + charge lambat, kemungkinan port charge atau bateri.
• Bateri kembung, skrin terangkat atau casing tersembul. Ini BAHAYA, berhenti guna, jangan charge, bawa datang segera.
• Hot even when idle, warm in your pocket without doing anything.
• Hot + fast battery drain, the classic combo of a degraded battery; a weak battery works harder and produces heat.
• Hot in one spot only, the top area (camera/board) or bottom (charging port) is very hot compared to the rest.
• Very hot while charging + slow charging, likely the charging port or battery.
• Swollen battery, the screen lifts or the casing bulges. This is DANGEROUS, stop using it, don’t charge it, bring it in right away.
Selalunya, phone yang panas + cepat habis bateri + mula rasa lambat semuanya berpunca dari bateri yang dah tua. Bateri yang degrade bukan sahaja tak tahan lama, tapi ia juga buat cip “throttle” (perlahankan diri untuk lindung dari haba), sebab tu phone rasa lag. Tukar bateri selalu selesaikan panas, drain, dan lag serentak.
Often, a phone that’s hot + drains fast + feels sluggish all traces back to an aged battery. A degraded battery not only doesn’t last, it also makes the chip “throttle” (slow itself to protect against heat), which is why the phone feels laggy. Replacing the battery frequently fixes the heat, drain, and lag all at once.
