- Turn it off. Hold the power button. Don’t “save your work first”, a powered circuit with liquid on it short-circuits.
- Cabut charger / apa-apa cable. Kuasa + air itulah yang merosakkan komponen.
- Unplug the charger / any cable. Power plus liquid is what destroys components.
- Lap kering bahagian luar dengan tuala. Keluarkan casing & SIM tray kalau boleh.
- Dry the outside with a towel. Remove the case & SIM tray if you can.
- Bawa masuk hari ini. Bukan minggu depan, setiap jam penting.
- Bring it in today. Not next week, every hour matters.

❌ Don’t use rice
Mitos beras memang popular, tapi ia tak berkesan. Beras menyerap sedikit sahaja kelembapan dari dalam chassis yang tertutup, dan habuk beras masuk dalam port. Sementara itu, kakisan terus makan board. Beras cuma beri kakisan lebih masa.
The rice myth is popular but it doesn’t work. Rice absorbs almost no moisture from inside a sealed chassis, and starch dust gets into the ports. Meanwhile, corrosion keeps eating the board. Rice just buys the corrosion more time.

Also don’t:
• Hidupkan untuk “check”. Ini cara paling biasa phone yang boleh diselamatkan jadi mati.
• Guna hairdryer. Haba rosakkan komponen & tolak air lebih dalam.
• Tunggu ia “kering sendiri”. Ia takkan, kerosakan itu kimia, bukan pasal basah.
• Power it on to “check”. This is the most common way a recoverable phone becomes a dead one.
• Use a hairdryer. Heat damages components & pushes liquid deeper.
• Wait for it to “dry out”. It won’t, the damage is chemical, not about wetness.

Air yang masuk membawa mineral & garam. Bila ia bertemu litar elektrik pada motherboard, ia mula mengkakis sambungan halus, walaupun selepas air kelihatan kering. Itu sebab phone yang “nampak okay” hari ini boleh mati 3 hari kemudian. Penyelesaian sebenar bukan mengeringkan, tetapi membersihkan kakisan pada board (ultrasonic cleaning) sebelum ia merebak.
The water that gets in carries minerals & salts. When it meets the electrical circuits on the motherboard, it starts corroding the fine connections, even after the water looks dry.
